India Adds $749M FX Reserves In A Week

India’s foreign exchange reserves increased $749 million to $312.2 billion in the week ended October 7.

India’s foreign exchange reserves increased $749 million to $312.2 billion in the week ended October 7, Bloomberg reports. The Reserve Bank of India said foreign currency assets grew $763 million to $276.5 billion. Gold reserves remained steady at $28.7 billion.

The special drawing rights with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) came down $9 million to $4.5 billion and reserves with the IMF decreased $5 million to $2.61 billion. Total reserves have risen $16.4 billion in a year.
