DS Brar is joining Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Company (KKR) as senior adviser. He will also serve on the firm’s Asia portfolio management committee, which deals with company management, monitors all of KKR’s private equity investments in the region and gives guidance and input on the operations of companies.
Brar has also worked with Ranbaxy Laboratories as CEO and managing director. In 2004, he started his own venture GVK Biosciences, a contract research organization providing discovery and development services to global life sciences companies.
