RockMelt Secures $30M In VC Funding

Social web browser RockMelt has received $30 million in series B venture funding.

Social web browser RockMelt has received $30 million in series B venture funding. The financing round was led by new investors Accel Partners and Khosla Ventures. The firm’s existing investors, which are Menlo Park-based Andreessen Horowitz, Intuit Chairman Bill Campbell, First Round Capital’s Josh Kopelman, as well as angel investor Ron Conway also participated.

The Mountain View-based company intends to use the proceeds for product development, marketing and partnership opportunities. Jim Breyer of Accel Partners and Vinod Khosla of Khosla Ventures will be added to RockMelt’s board as observers.
