IADB To Offer $1.3B Loans To Argentina

Inter-American Development Bank will offer $1.3 billion worth loans to Argentina in 2011.

Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) will offer $1.3 billion worth loans to Argentina in 2011, Reuters reports. The loans are expected to be used for infrastructure projects, including expanded roadways, sewage systems and to improve neighborhood conditions.

The country already secured a $380 million loan for a wind-fueled power plant and river clean-up in 2012. IADB has approved five projects in Argentina in 2011 targeting electrical power in the provinces, tourism, foreign trade and improved job opportunities for people with disabilities.
