Alternative asset manager, Investcorp has provided seed capital to a structured-finance hedge fund, The Wall Street Journal reports. The size of the investment that Prosiris Capital Management received for the fund was not disclosed.
The portfolio was founded by a former head of proprietary trading for the Americas at Goldman Sachs. Prosiris will use the investments to seek gains in a volatile market. The investment in Prosiris is Investcorp’s first in a structured-finance fund.
