Carlyle Group is seeking to acquire Butterfield Fulcrum Group (BFG) from U.K. buy-out firm, 3i, HFMWeek reports. Hedge fund administrator, SS&C, is also considering making an offer for the business. BFG presently has around $60 billion of hedge fund assets. 3i funded the merger of Bermuda-based hedge fund administrator, Fulcrum Group and Butterfield Fund Services two and a half years ago.
