ICE Crosses $15T In Global CDS Clearing

IntercontinentalExchange’s credit default swap (CDS) clearing houses have crossed the $15 trillion mark in cumulative gross notional value.

IntercontinentalExchange’s (ICE) credit default swap (CDS) clearing houses have crossed the $15 trillion mark in cumulative gross notional value. The clearing houses have also had 400,000 transactions during the week ending Jan. 21, 2011. North American CDS clearing house, ICE Trust, surpassed $9 trillion in gross notional cleared during the week. ICE Clear Europe has cleared $5.1 trillion in iTraxx indices and $920 billion in single-name instruments.
