When it comes to space flight, those who can do do, and those who can’t – or at least haven’t yet -- start hedge funds. Stephen Rogers is just such a space lover. HedgeFund.net reports that Rogers has left his portfolio manager position at AGF Management, a Canadian mutual fund firm, and is launching the Albireo Space & Aeronautics Fund. Albireo -- which gets its name from the double star that is the head of the constellation Cygnus the Swan -- will invest in space and aeronautics-type companies including those engaged in space tourism and avionics, and reportedly will dock with options, futures and leverage for enhanced returns. Rogers, who is an amateur astronomer and holder of a pilot’s license, hopes to attract like-minded people to his fund, due to take off April 1.
