Blackstone Group funds are buying Antares Restaurant Group in New Zealand from Anchorage Capital Partners. Financial details of the deal were not revealed. Blackstone is one of the biggest private equity firms globally.
Goldman Sachs served as financial advisor for Blackstone and Rippledot Capital Advisers worked for Anchorage. ANZ, Rabobank and Westpac are supplying debt finance and on-going loans to Antares. Antares has sole franchise development rights for the Burger King brand in New Zealand where it runs 75 Burger King restaurants.
