Verizon Acquires Software Developer

Verizon Communications has acquired Massachusetts-based CloudSwitch.

Verizon Communications has acquired Massachusetts-based CloudSwitch, Reuters reports. The acquisition will enable Verizon to expand its business services operations. The privately held software developer will be combined with Terremark, an information technology services provider that Verizon bought in April for $1.4 billion. The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
