Richard Gerson, a former Blue Ridge Capital executive, is launching a new $1 billion hedge fund in New York, Hedge Fund Alert reports. The product will start trading a global stock vehicle as early as next year. The firm is set to open the fund’s new office in New York. Gerson has also appointed Martin Byman, ex-co-head of the European prime brokerage at Morgan Stanley, as COO for the new fund.
