Illinois Teachers Awards $265M Mandate

Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System, Springfield, has awarded a $265 million TIPS mandate to Hartford Investment Management.

Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System, Springfield, has awarded a $265 million TIPS mandate to Hartford Investment Management, Pensions & Investments reports. The funding came from a 2% reduction in the mandates of fixed-income managers, Prudential and Goldman Sachs.

The retirement system also made a 1% cut in a PIMCO mandates. Prudential managed $797 million in fixed income for the system as of March 31, while Goldman managed $857 million and PIMCO $1.5 billion.
