New York State Teachers’ Retirement System has committed about $100 million to two funds, Pensions & Investments reports. The Cortec Group Fund V and the Artemis Real Estate Partners Fund I have received $50 million each from the system.

The Cortec fund spends on lower- to middle-market leveraged buyouts, while the Artemis fund invests in distressed real estate. Both the commitments made by the $80.3 billion system are pending due diligence reviews.
