Accel Partners has launched its Big Data Fund. The new $100 million investment initiative by the global venture capital firm has been created to recognize entrepreneurs planning to build category-defining companies at every layer of the Big Data stack.
The fund aims to fund transformative companies all through the Big Data ecosystem, from next-generation storage and data management platforms to a wide range of revolutionary software applications and services, including data analytics, vertical applications and mobile. The fund will be managed across global offices in the U.S., London, China and India.
