UBS has appointed Patrick Porritt to lead the financial institutions group in Asia, The Wall Street Journal reports. At present, he is joint head of the bank’s financial institutions group for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Porritt, who joined UBS in 1997, will take over his new responsibilities from Ren Wang, who quit to join Jefferies, adds Reuters. Porritt will be replaced by Edouard Vitry, who will become sole head of the London-based group.
