Saigon Asset Management is planning to raise $300 million for an Indochina energy portfolio.

Saigon Asset Management is planning to raise $300 million for an Indochina energy portfolio. It aims to invest the money in thermal and hydro power projects and companies in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. The firm will also enable investors to capitalize on rising demand, market deregulation and upward trending electricity tariffs in the Indochina region. The investment manager of Vietnam Equity Holding and Vietnam Property Holding will commence the energy fund in September.
