IMF OKs $2.24B Loan To Ireland
The International Monetary Fund has approved another $2.24 billion loan for Ireland.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved another $2.24 billion loan for Ireland, Irish Times reports. The disbursement of the new loan was approved after evaluating the country’s performance.
With the latest grant, Ireland has received about $10.19 billion from the IMF under its joint loan program with the European Union. The EU and the IMF together are providing about $120 billion to Ireland to help rescue it from a debt crisis.
