U.S. solar-panel maker, First Solar, and China Power International New Energy (CPINE) have collaborated for solar-energy projects in China, the U.S. and elsewhere. Initially, First Solar and CPINE will explore collaboration on solar photovoltaic projects only in China. First Solar will also assist CPINE, a unit of China Power New Energy Development, to find investment opportunities in the U.S. and elsewhere. CPINE has already planned a two giga watt of solar in China by 2020.
