Lyle LaMothe is stepping down as head of Merrill Lynch U.S. Wealth Management at Bank of America.

Lyle LaMothe is stepping down as head of Merrill Lynch U.S. Wealth Management at Bank of America, The Wall Street Journal reports. He is leaving the wealth management firm to pursue personal interests. LaMothe was named head of the U.S. wealth management unit in 2008 and will remain at the brokerage until May 1, 2011. BofA acquired Merrill Lynch in late 2008.
