PIMCO has unveiled a new distribution platform in the U.S. for financial advisors and individual investors. PIMCO has also started a licensed broker-dealer called PIMCO Investments. The fully integrated distribution platform will offer greater access to PIMCO’s global investment solutions, intellectual capital and investment analysis. Jon Short, managing director and head of PIMCO’s global wealth management business, is PIMCO Investments’ Chairman. Previously, PIMCO’s funds were marketed through parent company, Allianz, of Germany, adds The Wall Street Journal.
