Henderson Plans Fund Mergers In 2011

Henderson Global Investors will merge funds as part of a rationalization plan.

Henderson Global Investors will merge funds as part of a rationalization plan, Investment Week reports. The £87 million U.K. Opportunities Fund and the £327 million U.K. Alpha Fund will be combined, while the £209 million European Opportunities Fund will be merged with the £755 million European Growth Fund. The company is also planning to merge the £34 million Cautious Portfolio with the £508 million Multi-Manager Income & Growth Fund. The mergers will take place at the end of February 2011 after receiving approval from shareholders, adds What Investment.
