IBS and Delovye Systemy announce structural changes aimed at consolidation of their infrustructure resources, and herald a new stage in Delovye Systemy’s history of development accompanied by its renaming, IBS said. The restructuring has become a logical follow-up of both companies business expansion. Delovye Systemy, which had previously been acting in the Russian IT market as a hardware distributor, in 2003 set its course for developing expertise in the area of infrustructure integration. As a result the company’s commercial portfolio was significantly enlarged with products supplied by more than 10 world manufacturers and with services on design and implementation of infrustructure solutions.
Development of integration line led to the decision to arrange the resources of Delovye Systemy and IBS within the infrustructure block.
The decision was brought about by the following necessity: to position the Companies’ competences more clearly for their partners and customers, to increase the efficiency of work with the customers, to enhance growth rate of the infrustructure business.
Following the restructuring, a part of the expert base related to infrustructure integration of IBS was consolidated with the resources of Delovye Systemy to promote a new class of replication solutions and to increase the efficiency and growth rate of business in the area of infrustructure integration as a whole.
The new class of the so-called replication solutions has been created on the basis of the experience IBS gained in large-scale projects and on that of the unique expert base accumulated over years of practice in the market of infrustructure integration. These solutions will be provided to the customers of Delovye Systemy through a quick and flexible service system. Following the restructuring IBS will focus on complex projects, which are the Company’s direct specialization, while Delovye Systemy will keep handling the segment of infrustructure solutions and will extend its service portfolio due to the new class of replication solutions.
Basic competitive benefits of the replication solutions are high quality of development work, quickness of deployment and, above all, reduction of deployment expenses for customers - due to the implementors clear understanding of the objectives set and their ability to offer to achieve those objectives by means of a ready and proven replication solution, such as data processing centers, data storage systems, standard clustered systems based on Intel and RISC architectures, data networks, voice communication systems (both conventional and IP), real-time communications control systems, etc. These solutions have been tested in hundreds of projects run by IBS for variously scaled customers from all walks of business.
The new stage in the development of Delovye Systemy and the new quality of its business pertaining to enlargement of its solutions portfolio, inclusive of both products and services, entailed changes in the Company’s positioning and its renaming. The chosen double name of IBS Platformix, on the one hand, reflects the goals shared by the Companies and their consolidated efforts aimed at the utmost customer satisfaction, and, on the other hand, emphasizes differencies in their competences. “The name of IBS Platformix reflects the essence of our activities in the best possible way, - says Georgy Polikhonidi, General Director, IBS Platformix, - we develop business platforms which are infrustructure solutions. The restructuring will help implement a more efficient model of interaction with vendors producing hardware and software by enabling them to negotiate all questions on cooperation and partnership agreements with one counteragent, and will also allow them to increase sales due to expanded range of products and distribution channels (IBS + IBS Platformix).
It is customers who get the major positive effect from the restructuring. The new business model enables them to cut equipment purchase costs since IBS partner status and discount programs apply to IBS Platfromix, and provides access to a broader (unified) products portfolio featuring various makers, thus helping them to choose the most optimal solution for the set tasks.
At present the resources are being sorted and a number of marketing initiatives has been suggested so as to promote the new positioning of the Company branded as IBS Platformix.
IBS Platformix (earlier known as Delovye Systemy) has been operating in the IT-market more than 12 years. The Company’s activity scope comprises implementation of infrastructure projects on a various scale - from IT-solutions for small and middle businesses to large information systems on the federal level.
