“For the best insights and advice, there’s no one better to turn to” than Julia Gordeyeva, cheers one fan of the Sberbank CIB analyst, who repeats in the No. 1 position on this roster and records her fourth top finish in the past five years. The 38-year-old reports on seven Russian real estate names and now also captains a team of three analysts covering information technology, small-cap and transportation stocks. She anticipates that an oversupply of both residential and commercial space will weigh on this sector over the next 24 months and singles out LSR Group as a strong candidate to perform well under the pressure. The St. Petersburg–based homebuilder enjoys a stable cash flow and high dividend yield, which is especially appealing “given current volatility and uncertainty in the market,” the analyst explains. LSR’s global depositary receipts closed May at $3.94, and she forecasts a rise to $10.60. Her coverage of Cyprus-based diversified property developer MirLand Development Corp. wins particular investor praise. Gordeyeva upgraded the London Stock Exchange–traded shares from hold to buy in October 2012, and by the end of last month, they had rocketed 91.9 percent, to £227.38, soaring 70 percent in the trailing 12 months alone. “Julia is a gem,” attests another portfolio manager.
