Finance is a second career for Andrew Adams, and it couldn’t be any more different from his first. Now product specialist and investor relations director at $10.2 billion, London-based hedge fund firm Capula Investment Management, Adams served as an engineering officer in the British Army after graduating from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He has a bachelor’s degree in electronic systems engineering from the U.K.’s Cranfield University and a master’s in finance from London Business School. The 34-year-old Adams did two tours of duty in Iraq. He joined Capula in 2009, having previously worked in macro and FX sales and trading in London, first at Barclays Capital and then at Deutsche Bank. In 2011, with quantitative credit specialist Capula growing its client base in the U.S., Adams moved to Greenwich, Connecticut, to help the investor relations effort there. |
