Long-term mutual funds outflows almost doubled to $10.95 billion from $5.68 billion in the preceding week, The Wall Street Journal reports. Redemptions from bond funds amounted to $5.8 billion, taxable funds $6.24 billion and hybrid funds $1.35 billion. Equities saw outflows slowing, with investors taking out $3.79 billion in the week ended October 5, down from $6.59 billion the previous week. U.S. equities suffered net outflows of $4.29 billion while foreign stock funds saw net inflows of $498 million.
