PIMCO has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to roll out three index bond ETFs, Index Universe reports. The ETFs will each focus on Australia, Canada and Germany and will be denominated in the Australian dollar, the Canadian dollar and the euro, respectively. The funds are the PIMCO Australia Bond Index Fund, the PIMCO Canada Bond Index Fund and the PIMCO Germany Bond Index Fund. Nearly 80% of each ETF’s assets will be invested in its respective index. However, the funds will also be able to hold cash and investment grade, liquid short-term instruments, forwards or derivatives.
