Investors Still Love PE: Institutional Investor has just released the results of its Second Annual Global Asset Management Survey, which gives insight as to where y’all’s heads are at. Conducted in fall 2025, the survey polled 375 institutional investors and asset managers globally. Check out my story on some of the main findings on II’s website. 

One of the big things that stood out from the survey results is that after Donald Trump returned to the White House, geopolitical instability overtook cybersecurity and AI as the top risk facing the global investment industry. Considering many allocators and leaders are beginning to acknowledge the new order the world has entered, it makes sense. This geopolitical uncertainty is impacting how — and where — investors allocate their assets: 40 percent of European and 34 percent of Asian investors plan to reduce U.S. allocations, while only 1.5 percent of North American investors plan to increase theirs.
