Faced with falling yields on corporate bonds and lower stock dividends, among other depressing developments, U.K. fund managers are taking a stab at less-traditional investments. According to Financial Times, one such firm to explore new territories is Schroders, which has debuted its Income Maximiser equity fund, which adds a twist to the usual equity offering – using a call option strategy to kick up yields. FT says fund managers are also trending to U.S.-based equity income funds that invest in foreign countries and overseas equity income funds as well.
