GKKF To Give $5.8M To Tulsa Agencies

The George Kaiser Family Foundation will grant a total of $5.8 million to more than 80 social service agencies in Tulsa region.

The George Kaiser Family Foundation will grant a total of $5.8 million to more than 80 social service agencies in Tulsa region, Fox23.com reports. The supporting organization of the Tulsa Community Foundation will give the money to agencies comprising Camp Fire USA Green Country Council, Child Abuse Network, Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, Emergency Infant Services, Family and Children’s Services and Tulsa Project Woman.

Nearly $1.2 million of the grant will go toward substance abuse, mental health and crisis intervention and $1.3 million will support community health initiatives. The remaining will help child and family welfare, senior services and youth development and training and will also benefit basic needs and other organizations.
