The board of the Research Triangle Foundationof North Carolina has named Bob Geolas as president and CEO, Business Journal reports. Geolas has replaced Rick Weddle, who left in February for a new job in Orlando. Liz Rooks, who was named interim president and CEO, will return to her earlier position as executive vice president of the foundation.
Previously, Geolas was executive director of the Clemson University’s International Center for Automotive Research. The Research Triangle Foundation owns and manages the Research Triangle Park, a corporate park situated midway between Raleigh and Durham.
