GlobalCollect, global payment service provider of local e-payment solutions, has appointed Stephen Buechner as senior credit and risk officer, Finextra reports. Reporting to CEO Thomas Staudt, Buechner is also a part of the firm’s executive council.
Buechner manages the firm’s overall risk and credit governance, including assessing risk profiles and business activities associated with a diverse product portfolio and servicing a broad range of clients. He is also in charge of handling global compliance schemes and the company’s other regulatory obligations. Buechner was formerly head of risk for global payments at Barclays, a global banking and financial services U.K. company.
