Macquarie Capital Names Global Head

Macquarie Capital, unit of Australia’s largest investment bank Macquarie Group has selected Tim Bishop as global head in Sydney.

Macquarie Capital, unit of Australia’s largest investment bank Macquarie Group has selected Tim Bishop as global head in Sydney. Appointed in 1999, Bishop is the U.S. head of Macquarie Capital. Following the move, head of credit trading within fixed income, currencies and commodities Michael McLaughlin and U.S. vice chairman and head of corporate finance Robert Redmond have been added to the U.S. leadership role.

The firm has selected McLaughlin as U.S. country head, head of Macquarie’s U.S. management committee, president of Macquarie Capital (USA) as well as member of global Macquarie executive committee. Redmond has been named U.S. head of Macquarie Capital, the firm’s advisory, capital markets and principal investments business and CEO of Macquarie Capital (USA). The duo will also retain their current roles. The appointments will be effective January 1.
