IDFC Mutual Fund has changed the name of its scheme IDFC Small and Midcap Equity Fund to IDFC Sterling Equity Fund, effective October 24, Moneycontrol.com reports. The terms and conditions of the scheme remain unaltered. The asset manager is sponsored by Indian private sector diversified financial institution Infrastructure Development Finance Co.
The scheme aims at capital appreciation via investments in small and midcap equity and equity related instruments and may also invest in derivatives, stocks except midcap stocks, debt and money market instruments. The fund tracks the CNX Midcap Index and is managed by Kenneth Andrade.
