CROs Set Up Risk Management Council

Chief risk officers at some North American insurers have formed a council to handle risk management issues facing the industry.

Chief risk officers (CROs) at some North American insurers have formed a council to handle risk management issues facing the industry, Business Insurance reports. The North American CRO Council will deal with operational and strategic concerns of brokers, insurers and reinsurers, including legislative and regulatory developments, business challenges, market conditions and competitive intelligence.

The council represents 12 property/casualty and 11 life insurers. Its members include CROs from ACE Group, American International Group, Chubb Group of Insurance Cos. and CNA Financial Corp.
