Mellanox Technologies, a provider of end-to-end connectivity solutions for data center servers and storage systems, has rolled out an ultra-dense, low-latency 64-port 10-gigabit Ethernet switch. The SX1016 offers up to 1.28 terabits per second of switching bandwidth, extreme port density and low 1.8 watts per portpower consumption.
SX1016, based on SwitchXT switch silicon ICs, features enhanced chassis management capabilities supporting Web UI, industry-standard CLI. The new switch is supported by Mellanox Unified Fabric Manager, which provides extensive end-to-end fabric orchestration and monitoring capabilities for virtualizing and scaling out data centers.
