Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has hired Gary Barnett as head of the U.S. derivatives and structured-finance practice at law firm Linklaters, The Wall Street Journal reports. In his new role, Barnett will be based in New York. He will be leading a new unit managing swap dealers and intermediaries. Barnett joins Linklaters from Shearman & Sterling, where he was co-head of the securitization and derivatives practice.
