Maxim Group has appointed Ian Burgess as senior vice president of its institutional equity sales subsidiary. He is joining the firm from Morgan Joseph & Company, where he was managing director of institutional equity sales. Burgess was also a member of Morgan Joseph’s management committee. Prior to that, he was associated with CIBC World Markets, TD Newcrest, Puglisi & Company and IRG Research.
