Temasek Names Seatown CEO

Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund Temasek has appointed Jimmy Phoon as CEO of hedge fund Seatown.

Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund Temasek has appointed Jimmy Phoon as CEO of hedge fund Seatown, The Wall Street Journal reports. He will replace Charles Ong and Nasser Ahmad. Ong will become Temasek’s senior managing director of special products, while Ahmad will remain as an adviser to Seatown through the end of the year. Phoon, who is currently head of strategy at Temasek, will retain that role in addition to running the $2.9 billion hedge fund.
