Latvia will receive a €300 million loan from the European Commission.

Latvia will receive a €300 million loan from the European Commission, Bloomberg reports, citing the Baltic News Service. The loan is part of a €650 million earmarked by the European Union and International Monetary Fund (IMF) for bank stabilization measures. The proceeds are expected to be used by the country to finance its budget deficit.
Latvia had previously got a €7.5 billion loan from the EU and IMF in 2008.
