The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has received a $1.5 billion donation from Warren Buffett, Reuters reports. The investor donated 19.34 million Class B shares of his insurance and investment firm Berkshire Hathaway to the foundation.
Buffett has so far donated a total of 132.45 million Berkshire Class B shares to the trust, worth $10.3 billion, adds RTT News. He also donates smaller sums to four family charities, including the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation.
