Regulators Adopt Risk-Based Capital Floor Rule

Federal Reserve Board, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency have jointly adopted a final rule that establishes a floor for the risk-based capital requirements for the world’s largest banks.

Federal Reserve Board, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency have jointly adopted a final rule that establishes a floor for the risk-based capital requirements for the world’s largest banks. The final rule goes into effect 30 days after it appears in the Federal Register, which is expected soon, according to the regulators.
