S’pore Bourse To Drop Midday Trading Break

The Singapore Exchange Asia’s second-largest listed bourse operator, will start continuous trading from August 1.

The Singapore Exchange (SGX), Asia’s second-largest listed bourse operator, will start continuous trading from August 1, The Wall Street Journal reports. The exchange will trade continuously from 9am to 5pm local time from Monday to Friday.

At present, the SGX takes a 90-minute midday trading break. The SGX initially planned to drop the break from March this year but delayed the move due to opposition from some traders, adds Reuters.
