CDC To Run €400M French VC Fund

The French government has selected CDC Entreprises to manage a €400 million venture capital fund.

The French government has selected CDC Entreprises to manage a €400 million venture capital fund, AltAssets reports. The fund, known as the FCPR FSN PME, is designed to boost development of the digital technology sector.

The vehicle will invest around €10 million in early stage SMEs working within the cloud computing, nanoelestronics and embedded software, e-health, e-education, network protection and intelligent transport systems sectors. The fund plans to invest in 30 projects by the end of this year.
