Virginia Univ Endowment Regains $1.5B

The endowment and other associated funds of University of Virginia have recovered about $1.5 billion lost during the 2008 market crash.

The endowment and other associated funds of University of Virginia have recovered about $1.5 billion lost during the 2008 market crash, Richmond Times Dispatch reports. The current size of the funds is $5.24 billion.

The funds had reduced to $3.76 billion in February 2009. University of Virginia Investment Management manages the funds of the university and the money belonging to affiliated foundations.
