Ukraine Secures $200M For Energy Fund

The World Bank has allocated a $200 million loan to Ukraine for a energy efficiency projects development. The credit facility will finance investments in energy saving measures in industrial companies, municipalities and municipally-owned enterprises and energy service companies.

The World Bank has allocated a $200 million loan to Ukraine for a energy efficiency projects development. The credit facility will finance investments in energy saving measures in industrial companies, municipalities and municipally-owned enterprises and energy service companies.

The project targets to help Ukraine to reduce energy intensity by 20% by 2015 and by 50% by 2030. It will also help diminish Ukraine’s dependence on imported gas and reduce the risks associated with energy supply security and energy costs reduction.
