SAC Capital Management has launched a fund specializing in quantitative trading, Bloomberg reports. The hedge fund will be managed by SAC’s team of 20 quant traders.
The new fund is expected to be launched in the third quarter of 2011. SAC, which has received about $1.5 billion for its main fund since mid-2010, is closing the fund to new investments.
