Trading technology company, SunGard, has rolled out a pre-trade risk management system, Financial Times reports. The new system, Valdi Order Validator, is a low latency and real-time order validation engine that will not slow down trading and will not affect latency. The system allows broker-dealers and clearing firms monitor and manage trading exposure in real-time to help prevent potential violations of trading limits and position exposure. Last year, Sungard launched a suite of products that combined smart order routing and the provision of connections to various markets for traders, managed by SunGard.
