BTG Pactual is seeking to partner with Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) to provide lending and advisory services in Latin America, Reuters reports. The lenders will establish a partnership covering project finance, mergers and acquisitions advisory and asset management services. As per the agreement, the Brazilian financial group and SMBC will offer joint lending for mining projects in Central and South America. The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
