A-B InBev Buys Chicago Brewer For $39M

Anheuser-Busch InBev’s U.S. unit will acquire craft brewer, Fulton Street Brewery.

Anheuser-Busch InBev’s U.S. unit will acquire craft brewer, Fulton Street Brewery, The Wall Street Journal reports. The Belgium-based brewer will pay $38.8 million for a 58% share in Goose Island’s holding company. The minority owner of the Chicago-based company, Craft Brewers Alliance, has also sold its 42% stake to A-B InBev for $16.3 million in cash. Goose Island’s founder and president, John Hall, will continue at Goose Island as CEO and oversee an expansion of its brewery.
