Global X Funds Assets Cross $1.5B

New York-based ETF provider, Global X Funds, has surpassed $1.5 billion in assets under management on March 1, 2011.

New York-based ETF provider, Global X Funds, has surpassed $1.5 billion in assets under management on March 1, 2011. The company, which manages 23 ETFs across global commodities and developed and emerging markets fund suites, has grown over 1500% since the end of 2009. The largest funds include the Silver Miners ETF with $498 million net assets, the Uranium ETF with $217 million net assets, the Lithium ETF with $186 million assets and the China Consumer ETF with net assets worth $162 million. The company’s most recent product launches in 2011 include the Global X Aluminum ETF and the Global X Russell Emerging Markets Growth ETF.
